Time Filled, Time Free

I would like to say that I kept my goal of writing a blog post once a week. As you can see though I have not. Technically I have been posting my thoughts on my Author Facebook page but that is not a blog nor does it have the room to post all my thoughts.
I feel a blog is a better place to share things I have learned since writing my first book a few years ago. Today I started to feel that writers itch in my brain. The kind of nagging feeling that there is something I need to say on paper. To put my life in the pages of a book disguised as a story and only I know what parts are from my life. I find the writing process relaxing and exciting. I don't know where the story will go until my last paragraph is written and even then I don't know what will be my last paragraph. I have started a third book in my series twice and may start it a third time so I can get the main idea set. I am excited to write again. I took time off and I will say that happened to be nice at the time but now almost 2yrs later I think it would have been better to take a month off and get back into my schedule of writting.
I enjoy the ups and downs of being an author but don't take to much time off from writing. That time you freed up for writing gets so easily filled with other things that when you go back to writing it is hard to carve the time out again. Maybe it is the recent passing of my cousin that has made me want to finish my story. It made me think about all the unfinished projects she may have left behind that nobody else but her would know how they were to be completed.  I want to do the things I think about doing when I think about them not put them off for another day.
